Summer 2011 saw a substantial renovation to the main floor of the Chapter House. At the last board meeting in the 2010-11 year, undergraduate and alumni members agreed the area was looking “tired” and it had been 17 years since the last major work was done in this area. The carpeting in the conference room and pool room was removed, as well as the tile in the Great Room. The original hardwood flooring was in surprisingly good condition and with refinishing is again very beautiful. Generous donations by alumni, good occupancy, and sound management as well as the hard work of the corporation board, undergraduate executive board, and house manager Brent Stanton made this project possible.
